KerambaKeberadaan keramba di sekitar Danau Toba perlu mendapatkan perhatian masyarakat dan Pemerintah Daerah. Di satu sisi pengelolaan keramba akan menambah pendapatan masyarakat sekitar. Di sisi yang lain kehadiran keramba tersebut akan mengurangi nilai estetika keindahan. Penggunaan obat-obatan ikan dan pakan ikan akan mengganggu keseimbangan ekosistim asli Danau Toba. Seiring berjalannya waktu dampak penggunaaan bahan-bahan kimia tersebut akan mencemari seluruh wilayah Danau Toba. Pemerintah Daerah perlu mengajak masyarakat duduk bersama untuk memilih prioritas mengenai manfaat Danau Toba, apakah mengutamakan keindahan untuk menarik minat wisatawan atau sebagai tempat berusaha dengan mengelola keramba ikan. Dan Pemerintah juga harus konsisten untuk mengembangkan potensi wisata Danau Toba. Kenapa terlupakan? Wisata yang lain tetap mendapat perhatian, kenapa Danau Toba terpinggirkan? Ketidakpedulian Pemerintah ini salah satu faktor masyarakat berbuat sesuai keinginan masing-masing tanpa mempertimbangkan efek yang mungkin terjadi akibat keberadaan keramba ikan ini.
